**Anakapalli, Andhra Pradesh, January 22, 2025** – A fire broke out at an Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) within a pharmaceutical unit at Jawaharlal Nehru Pharma City (JNPC) in Anakapalli district on Tuesday morning. While the fire spread to nearby plastic drums, causing thick flames, fire tenders swiftly extinguished the blaze within 20 minutes, preventing any casualties.

According to Anakapalli district administration officials, the fire was contained by Ramky fire tenders. Parawada police station Inspector R Mallikarjuna Rao confirmed the incident and the quick response. Anakapalli District Collector Vijaya Krishnan has initiated an inquiry to determine the cause of the fire.
