Mon Jan 20 20:30:00 UTC 2025: ## Lions Facing Coordinator Exodus After Stunning Playoff Exit

**DETROIT, MI** – The Detroit Lions are facing a significant coaching shakeup following their unexpected NFC Divisional Round loss to the Washington Commanders. Head coach Dan Campbell acknowledged Monday that he anticipates losing both coordinators, Ben Johnson and Aaron Glenn, to head coaching opportunities.

The anticipated exodus began Monday with the Chicago Bears officially hiring offensive coordinator Ben Johnson. Meanwhile, defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn is a hot commodity, with multiple teams vying for his services. According to reports from Fox Sports NFL insider Jordan Schultz, Glenn will interview in-person with the New York Jets on Tuesday, followed by a meeting with the New Orleans Saints on Wednesday if a deal isn’t reached with the Jets. The Jacksonville Jaguars and Las Vegas Raiders also reportedly have interest in Glenn. The Jets and Saints are considered the frontrunners.

The Lions’ playoff elimination has accelerated the NFL coaching carousel, allowing teams to expedite their interview processes with Glenn and Johnson. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that the early start allows teams to conduct in-person interviews immediately rather than waiting until after the Super Bowl.

As the Lions begin their offseason, the search for two new coordinators is now a top priority for head coach Campbell.
