**New Delhi, December 20, 2024** – The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued show-cause notices to 29 schools across India for violating board regulations. Following inspections conducted in Delhi on December 18th and in Bengaluru, Patna, Bilaspur, Varanasi, and Ahmedabad on December 19th, the CBSE found widespread non-compliance with affiliation bye-laws.

Key violations included enrollment irregularities, such as enrolling students who did not regularly attend classes, and failure to meet CBSE’s academic and infrastructural standards. The affected schools have been provided with detailed inspection reports and given 30 days to respond to the notices.

The list of schools receiving show-cause notices includes institutions in Delhi (18 schools), Bengaluru (1), Patna (2), Varanasi (3), Ahmedabad (2), and Bilaspur (3).
