Mon Jan 20 18:19:19 UTC 2025: ## Kozhikode Akshaya Entrepreneurs Stage “Black Day” Protest
**Kozhikode, Kerala, January 21, 2025** – Akshaya entrepreneurs in Kozhikode district observed a “Black Day” on Monday to protest alleged neglect by the Kerala state government. The protest, part of a march to the IT Mission office in Thiruvananthapuram organized by the Forum of Akshaya Centre Entrepreneurs (FACE), saw approximately 2,000 entrepreneurs from 14 districts participating.
The entrepreneurs’ grievances include infrequent revisions of Akshaya service rates, the proliferation of fraudulent online service centers mimicking Akshaya, and outstanding arrears for Aadhaar services. They also demanded changes to the Akshaya Kendra transfer system and an end to what they deem unfair vigilance checks.
Despite the protest, many Akshaya centers remained operational, highlighting the entrepreneurs’ aim to make their voices heard without disrupting public services. Opposition leader V.D. Satheesan inaugurated the march in Thiruvananthapuram.
