Tue Jan 21 20:14:35 IST 2025: ## AITUC to Host Workshop on Migrant Worker Challenges
**Kottayam, Kerala – January 22, 2025** – The All India Trade Union Congress (AITUC) will hold a two-day workshop in Kottayam, Kerala, starting January 25th, to address the challenges faced by both international and interstate migrant workers. The workshop, to be held at the CSI Retreat Centre, aims to develop strategies and interventions to improve the lives of these workers.
AITUC General Secretary Amarjit Kaur will inaugurate the event. Prominent speakers including Sukumar Damle, Waheeda Nizam, Leena Chatterjee, and R. Prasad will lead discussions. Delegates from 17 states across India are expected to attend. The workshop represents a significant effort by the AITUC to advocate for the rights and well-being of India’s migrant worker population.
