TIRUMALA, INDIA (January 21, 2025) – The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has added masala vadas to the Anna Prasad menu at the Matrusri Tarigonda Vengamamba Anna Prasad Kendra. The new item was introduced on Monday, with 5,000 vadas served as a trial. The TTD will evaluate the response over the next week before deciding on full-scale implementation. Initial feedback from devotees has been positive.
In other news from Tirumala, break darshan has been cancelled for Tuesday. The number of pilgrims visiting the temple remains steady. Between the 10th and 19th of this month, 6.83 lakh devotees received Vaikuntha Dwara Darshan, generating ₹34.43 crore in Hundi offerings. 1,13,132 devotees offered their hair. Devotees without SSD tokens for darshan are currently facing a 15-hour wait time. The TTD has also announced that tickets for Srivari Arjita Sevas will be released today. Vaikuntha Dwara will remain open for ten more days with 1.2 lakh tokens being issued.
