**THANJAVUR, January 20, 2025** – Two men have been arrested in Pattukottai, Tamil Nadu, and remanded to judicial custody for allegedly attempting to molest a 16-year-old girl. Aravind (20) and Charan (20), both daily wage workers, lured the girl to a secluded bamboo grove on Sunday evening where the attempted assault occurred. The girl’s cries for help alerted passersby, causing the suspects to flee. Following a complaint filed by the girl’s family with the Pattukottai All Women Police, the two were apprehended on Monday and charged under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
