**Mumbai, January 20** – Veteran television and Marathi film actor Yogesh Mahajan passed away on Thursday, January 19, due to a cardiac arrest. He was 45.

Mahajan was found unresponsive in his Umergaon flat after failing to appear for the shoot of his current TV show, *Shiv Shakti Tap Tyag Tandav*. His concerned co-stars alerted authorities, who found him unconscious and rushed him to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Co-star Akangsha Rawat described Mahajan as a “lively person with a great sense of humour,” expressing shock at his sudden passing. Another colleague, Suzanne Bernert, echoed these sentiments, recalling his positive energy both on and off-screen.

Mahajan’s last rites were performed on Friday at Gorari-2 crematorium in Mumbai. He is survived by his wife and seven-year-old son.

Known for his roles in Marathi films such as *Mumbaiche Shahane* and *Samsarachi Maya*, Mahajan also had a prolific career in television, appearing in popular shows including *Adaalat*, *Jai Shri Krishna*, *Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat*, and *Devon Ke Dev: Mahadev*. His contributions to the entertainment industry will be deeply missed.
