Mon Jan 20 08:50:00 UTC 2025: ## Logano Eyes Elusive Second Daytona 500 Win

**DAYTONA BEACH, FL** – Ten years after his first Daytona 500 victory, Joey Logano is still chasing that elusive second win at NASCAR’s biggest race. Despite three Cup Series championships and 36 career wins, the Daytona 500 has proven a persistent challenge.

Logano, who will compete in the 2025 Daytona 500 on February 16th, has repeatedly come close, often leading late in the race only to be thwarted by crashes, late-race cautions, or close calls with other drivers. He cites several near-misses, including a runner-up finish in 2024, a crash while leading in 2023, and a last-lap collision in 2021. Even a perceived lack of support from a fellow driver in 2019 contributed to his failure to win.

“I feel like it’s with a couple little things changing, we’re sitting here with four of them,” Logano said recently. “I get more frustrated than I do proud of being close.”

Despite the frustration, Logano, now 34, remains determined. He views another Daytona 500 win as a chance to further solidify his legacy among NASCAR’s elite, a feat that has eluded several iconic drivers. His upcoming race marks his 17th season in the Cup Series, and he enters with the experience and drive to finally conquer this significant challenge.
