**Bengaluru, January 20, 2025** – The Karnataka State government announced key administrative changes on Monday, extending the service of Additional Chief Secretary L.K. Ateeq, who was set to retire on January 31st. Ateeq will continue as Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister. He currently holds this position concurrently with the role of ACS, Finance Department.

In a related development, Ritesh Kumar Singh, Principal Secretary in the School Education and Literacy Department, has been transferred to the Finance Department as Principal Secretary. He will also concurrently serve as the Officer on Special Duty in the newly established temporary position within the Finance Department, effective immediately.
