**New Delhi, January 27, 2025** – The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has announced the results of the Foreign Medical Graduates Examination (FMGE) held on January 12, 2025. Candidates can access their individual scorecards at nbe.edu.in.
While the results are now available, the NBEMS notes that seven candidates’ results are currently withheld pending investigations by the NBEMS Examination Ethics Committee, Unfair Means Case proceedings, court actions, or security clearance from the Ministry of Home Affairs.
A post-exam review by subject matter experts revealed one technically incorrect question on the 300-question exam. To ensure fairness, all candidates have received full marks for that question, regardless of whether they attempted it.
The FMGE, a biannual exam, assesses the competency of Indian and overseas citizens holding medical qualifications from institutions outside India seeking registration with the Medical Council of India or State Medical Councils. The exam is structured into two 150-minute sessions, each with 150 multiple-choice questions divided into timed sections.
