**Supa, Bakhira –** A 65-year-old man, Ram Sumer Gautam, was brutally murdered by his two nephews in Supa village on Sunday morning, police have confirmed. The accused, identified as Baliram and Shakti, have been arrested.
According to Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Sunil Kumar, Gautam, who lived with his nephews as he had no children, had been embroiled in a week-long dispute with them. The argument reportedly stemmed from Gautam’s refusal to eat food prepared by his nephews. The situation escalated when the nephews demanded he leave the house, a request he rejected.
The ensuing altercation turned violent, with Baliram and Shakti allegedly attacking Gautam with bricks and nails. Gautam sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at a local hospital. His body has been sent for post-mortem examination.
Police have registered a case and are currently conducting a thorough investigation into the incident. The arrested nephews are awaiting trial.
