**Dubai, UAE** – India has announced its squad for the Champions Trophy 2025, with Yashasvi Jaiswal receiving a much-anticipated call-up to the One Day International (ODI) team. While Jaiswal has already impressed in Test and T20 matches for India, this will be his ODI debut.
Captain Rohit Sharma explained the selection, stating that Jaiswal’s talent and potential made him a valuable addition to the squad. The inclusion of Jaiswal follows his consistent strong performances at the domestic level.
Joining Jaiswal in the squad are other notable players including the returning Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul, who have both shown impressive form in domestic cricket after periods out of the national team. India’s Champions Trophy campaign kicks off on February 20th in Dubai against Bangladesh. This will be followed by a highly anticipated clash against Pakistan on February 23rd, also in Dubai. Their group stage concludes with a match against New Zealand on March 2nd, again in Dubai.
