**MUMBAI, INDIA** – Karan Veer Mehra, the newly crowned winner of Bigg Boss 18, has dismissed allegations of buying votes and media support, calling them “lame excuses” similar to those made by losing contestants. In an exclusive interview with India Today Digital, Mehra reacted to accusations that he used money to secure his victory, stating, “I wish I had that kind of money; I wouldn’t have needed to do this show.”

The season, dubbed “The Karan Veer Mehra Show,” saw Mehra’s popularity soar. He acknowledged his ambition to win, stating, “I have always aimed for the best…It’s all about luck, but one has to hope for the best.” He also revealed past struggles in the industry, including facing rejection and seeing friends achieve greater success. Mehra expressed hope that his newfound fame will propel his career forward.

Mehra’s relationship with runner-up Vivian Dsena, described as a “love-hate” friendship, also came under discussion. While Mehra referred to Dsena as a “good boy” and acknowledged their rekindled friendship during the show, he playfully deflected questions about their current status.

Addressing criticism of his less active participation early in the game, Mehra explained that he prioritized building personal connections over engaging in “juvenile fights.” He admitted to realizing he needed to be more assertive midway through the competition and subsequently stepped up his game. Vivian Dsena and Rajat Dalal finished as first and second runner-ups, respectively, in the Salman Khan-hosted reality show.
