**Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh –** Apollo University, Apollo Hospitals, and the University of Leicester have joined forces to establish a cutting-edge Centre for Digital Health and Precision Medicine. The center, inaugurated on Monday, aims to revolutionize patient care through personalized solutions and advanced data analytics.
Prathap C. Reddy, Chancellor of Apollo University and founding chairman of Apollo Hospitals, emphasized the center’s role in expanding access to healthcare. Sangita Reddy, joint managing director of Apollo Hospitals, highlighted the need for affordable and accessible personalized healthcare globally.
The center will focus on research in areas such as cardiovascular diseases, acute and emergency medicine, and multi-morbidity. Collaborative undergraduate and master’s programs in healthcare will also be launched in partnership with the University of Leicester. The collaboration will encompass education, research, entrepreneurship, and joint working initiatives, according to Nishan Canagarajah, president and vice-chancellor of the University of Leicester. Experts stressed the urgent need for innovative solutions leveraging technology, artificial intelligence, and genomic medicine to improve healthcare efficiency. The center will actively seek collaborations with industries and academic partners.
