The investigation, led by a special team headed by a woman IPS officer, has resulted in the registration of 30 cases across four police stations. Five of the accused are minors. Police say the investigation revealed that the victim, now 18, was allegedly abused by 62 individuals since she was 13. The girl, initially identified through counselling by the Child Welfare Committee, reported that several instances of gang rape occurred at various locations, including a private bus stand, rubber plantation, inside a car, and even at Pathanamthitta General Hospital.
