**Mumbai, January 20** – Yogesh Mahajan, a well-known actor in Marathi films and television, passed away on January 19th due to cardiac arrest. He was 44.

Mahajan was found unresponsive in his apartment near his television show shooting set. Crew members, concerned by his absence from the set of “Shiv Shakti Tap Tyag Tandav,” broke into his apartment and found him unconscious. Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital, he was pronounced dead on arrival.

The actor’s death was confirmed by hospital authorities and his family, who released an official statement. His last rites were performed at Gorai-2 crematorium in Borivali West, Mumbai, on January 20th. He is survived by his wife and seven-year-old son.

Mahajan enjoyed a prolific career spanning both television and film. His television credits include popular shows like “Adalat,” “Jai Shri Krishna,” “Chakravarti Ashoka Samrat,” and “Devon Ke Dev Mahadev.” He also featured in several Marathi films, including “Mumbai Che Shahane” and “Samsarachi Maya.”

Co-star Suzan Bernert expressed her shock and grief to ETimes, describing Mahajan as a wonderful person and actor known for his positive attitude. His untimely death has sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry.
