Sun Jan 19 08:40:00 UTC 2025: ## Pakistan Dominate Day 2 in Multan Test, Build Massive Lead

**Multan, Pakistan:** Pakistan seized control of the second day of the Multan Test against West Indies, establishing a commanding 202-run lead thanks to a stunning display of spin bowling and a solid batting performance in the final session.

A record 19 wickets tumbled on a dramatic day. After Pakistan were bowled out for 230 in the morning, following a strong start built on a 141-run partnership between Saud Shakeel (84) and Mohammad Rizwan (71), their spinners wreaked havoc. Noman Ali claimed a five-wicket haul (5 for 39), while Sajid Khan took four (4 for 65), dismantling the West Indies batting line-up for a paltry 137.

The West Indies’ innings collapsed spectacularly after a strong start. Sajid Khan struck early, dismissing three batsmen in one over, leaving the visitors reeling at 22/4. Noman Ali then took over, cleaning up the middle order with his five wickets. While Jomel Warrican (31*) and Jayden Seales (22*) offered late resistance with a 46-run last-wicket stand, the damage had already been done.

Pakistan then extended their lead in the final session, with Shan Masood scoring a quickfire 52 before being dismissed. Despite losing wickets, they ended the day on 109/3, holding a significant advantage heading into Day 3. Jomel Warrican, despite his late-innings batting heroics, was the pick of the West Indies bowlers, claiming 2 wickets for 17 runs in Pakistan’s second innings.
