**Mumbai, India** – Kangana Ranaut’s directorial debut, “Emergency,” surpassed its box office competitor, “Aazaad,” on its second day of release. While both films had a modest opening, “Emergency” saw a significant increase in collections, earning an estimated ₹3.5 crore (approximately $425,000 USD) on day two, bringing its two-day total to ₹6 crore (approximately $725,000 USD). “Emergency,” a biographical drama depicting the 1975 Indian Emergency under Indira Gandhi’s rule, stars Ranaut in the titular role.
