Sun Jan 19 05:48:59 UTC 2025: ## Groom-to-be Dies in Car Fire While Distributing Wedding Invitations

**NEW DELHI** – A man died tragically in a car fire on Saturday night in Delhi, just days before his scheduled wedding. Anil, a resident of Nawada in Greater Noida, was distributing wedding invitations when the fire erupted in his Wagon R near Baba Banquet Hall in Ghazipur. Police confirmed that he perished in the blaze, with the driver’s side of the car completely charred.

Anil’s elder brother, Sumit, recounted the frantic search after Anil failed to return home in the evening. After numerous unsuccessful calls, the family received devastating news from the police late at night. Anil’s brother-in-law, Yogesh, added that the couple was set to marry on February 14th.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation, and Anil’s body has been sent for a post-mortem. Police are working to determine what sparked the blaze.

This incident follows a separate car fire last month in Delhi’s Lajpat Nagar area, allegedly caused by a parking dispute. Rahul Bhasin was arrested for allegedly setting his neighbor’s car ablaze with accomplices, an incident captured on CCTV.
