Vijayawada, January 19, 2025 – Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is leading a high-level delegation to the World Economic Forum (WEF) 2025 in Davos, Switzerland, to promote investment in the state. The delegation, which includes Ministers Nara Lokesh and T.G. Bharat, departed for Zurich from New Delhi on January 19th.

The trip aims to attract foreign investment and create jobs, building on recent successes. The NDA government in Andhra Pradesh has reportedly secured investment agreements exceeding ₹4 lakh crore in just seven months, including projects with ArcelorMittal and BPCL. The state aims to create 20 lakh jobs over the next five years, a goal supported by a newly formed task force and 15 new growth policies.

In Davos, the delegation will meet with numerous industrialists and government officials. Mr. Naidu will have a special meeting with ArcelorMittal Chairman Lakshmi Niwas Mittal and participate in sessions focused on green hydrogen and the blue economy. Meetings are also scheduled with CEOs from companies such as Coca-Cola, LG, and Cisco, as well as the UAE Economy Minister Abdulla Bin. The Chief Minister is expected to return to India on January 23rd.
