**New Delhi, India** – Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, India’s largest auto show, alongside prominent ministers Nitin Gadkari and Piyush Goyal. The expo’s opening day showcased a dazzling array of futuristic vehicles from both Indian and international brands, emphasizing environmentally conscious and technologically advanced designs.
The event saw a flurry of significant launches. Maruti Suzuki debuted its first electric SUV, the e-Vitara, boasting a range exceeding 500 km and slated for a March 2025 release. Hyundai unveiled the highly anticipated Creta Electric, priced between ₹17.99 lakh and ₹23.50 lakh, offering a range of 473 km on a full charge. Toyota showcased the Urban Cruiser BEV Concept (a rebadged Maruti e-Vitara) and the Hilux Black Edition.
Tata Motors generated significant buzz with the near-production version of the Tata Sierra, Stealth Editions of the Harrier EV and Safari, and the Avinya crossover built on a new platform shared with Jaguar Land Rover. They also presented Bandipur Editions of the Nexon EV, Harrier, and Safari.
Other highlights included Skoda’s unveiling of the Octavia vRS (launching July 2025) and upcoming Kodiaq and Superb models; Kia’s EV6 facelift and Carnival Hi-Limousine; MG’s Cyberster electric sports car and M9 electric MPV; Mercedes-Benz’s Maybach Night Series EQS SUV and GLS, along with the CLA Class Concept and G-Class Electric; BMW’s iX1 Long Wheelbase; and Porsche’s new Macan Electric and updated Taycan.
In the two-wheeler segment, Hero MotoCorp showcased new motorcycles and the VIDA V2 e-scooter. TVS stole the show with India’s first CNG scooter, the Jupiter CNG, boasting a range of 226 km, alongside the Apache RTX 300 adventure bike. Suzuki launched its first electric scooter, the e-ACCESS, the new Access 125, and the GIXXER SF 250, India’s first E85-based sports bike. Greaves showcased a premium variant of the Ampere Nexus and the new Xyber electric bike.
