**BAYVILLE, NJ & ROSELLE, NJ –** Thursday night brought exciting high school basketball matchups across the state. Roselle Catholic staged a remarkable comeback, overcoming a 14-point halftime deficit to defeat Westfield, 60-52, in a game celebrating the retirement of Minnesota Timberwolves player Naz Reid’s jersey. Tyrease Hunter led the Lions’ resurgence with all 24 of his points in the second half, including a 16-point third quarter. Trevon Lewis added 18 points for Roselle Catholic (10-3), while Tyshawn Pearson led Westfield with 12 points.
Meanwhile, Central Regional continued its dominant run, securing its seventh consecutive victory with a win over Donovan Catholic. The Golden Eagles’ stifling defense powered them to a comfortable win, led by Jaycen Santucci and Jayson King, who each scored a game-high 14 points. Royalty Riley chipped in 10 points for Central Regional (11-1). Ryan Jacobs led Donovan Catholic (5-7) with 11 points. The win puts Central Regional closer to clinching the Shore Conference “A” South division title.
