**Mumbai, India –** Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was injured in an early morning attack at his Bandra residence on Tuesday. An intruder, described as a young man wearing a brown t-shirt and red scarf, broke into the actor’s apartment building around 2:33 AM. According to police reports based on a complaint filed by the family’s house help, Eliyama Philip (56), the intruder first approached the bedroom of Saif and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s youngest son, Jehangir. Philip intervened, alerting the actors. A scuffle ensued, during which the intruder, armed with weapons, attacked Saif Ali Khan and two house staff members.
Saif Ali Khan sustained injuries and was taken to Lilavati Hospital for treatment. Philip and another household employee, Geeta, also received injuries.
Police have launched a large-scale manhunt, deploying twenty teams to apprehend the suspect. Investigators are reviewing CCTV footage, which clearly shows the intruder’s face as he fled the building after what is believed to be a failed burglary attempt. The investigation is ongoing.
