**Tirunelveli, January 18, 2025** – A 34-year-old painter, S. Palavesam, was arrested by Munneerpallam police for the alleged murder of his wife, Thamizharasi, 30. Police suspect Palavesam killed his wife, a mother of two, due to unfounded suspicions of infidelity. He allegedly attacked her with a sickle while she slept early Saturday morning. Following the murder, Palavesam surrendered to authorities. Thamizharasi’s body was sent to Tirunelveli Medical College Hospital for a post-mortem examination. The investigation is ongoing.
