**SHIVAMOGGA, January 18, 2025** – Karnataka’s School Education Minister Madhu Bangarappa launched the “Bhu Suraksha” scheme on Saturday, aiming to digitize all land records in the Shivamogga district within a year. The initiative, launched at the Shivamogga tahsildar’s office, seeks to improve public access to land records, eliminating the need for repeated visits to government offices and reducing the influence of intermediaries. The digitization will also safeguard the old documents and prevent tampering. The event was attended by Deputy Commissioner Gurudatta Hegade, Superintendent of Police G.K. Mithun Kumar, and other officials. Minister Bangarappa, who is also in charge of Shivamogga district, highlighted the ease of access the digitized records will provide to the public.
