Sat Jan 18 03:40:00 UTC 2025: ## Lakers Snap Losing Streak, Defeat Heat 117-108

**LOS ANGELES (AP)** — The Los Angeles Lakers ended a three-game losing skid Wednesday night, defeating the Miami Heat 117-108 at Crypto.com Arena. Rui Hachimura led the Lakers with 23 points, while Anthony Davis contributed 22 points and 11 rebounds. LeBron James added 22 points and nine assists, and Austin Reaves chipped in a double-double with 14 points and 14 rebounds.

The Lakers overcame a 12-point halftime deficit, mounting a decisive 15-4 run in the fourth quarter to take the lead. A key play saw Jaxson Hayes steal the ball and initiate a fast break, culminating in a Reaves-to-Hayes dunk that put the Lakers ahead for good.

Tyler Herro paced the Heat with 34 points, fueled by a scorching first half where he went 7-of-8 from the field, including 5-of-5 from beyond the arc. However, his strong performance wasn’t enough to overcome the Lakers’ late surge. Haywood Highsmith and Nikola Jovic each added 12 points for Miami.

The Heat concluded a 3-3 West Coast road trip played without Jimmy Butler, who is serving a seven-game suspension. The Lakers’ victory marked the end of their longest losing streak of the season, which coincided with two postponed games due to Southern California wildfires.

Both teams have busy schedules ahead. The Heat host the Denver Nuggets on Friday, while the Lakers welcome the Brooklyn Nets to Los Angeles on the same night.
