**NEW DELHI** – India unveiled its squad for the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy and the upcoming ODI series against England today. Captain Rohit Sharma and chief selector Ajit Agarkar announced the 15-man team at a press conference, with the biggest surprise being the appointment of Shubman Gill as vice-captain.

The selectors have opted for KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant as wicket-keepers, leaving Sanju Samson out of the squad. Another notable omission is Mohammed Siraj, while the inclusion of Jasprit Bumrah is contingent on his fitness, with further updates expected in February. Kuldeep Yadav and Mohammed Shami have been included after recovering from injury.

Head coach Gautam Gambhir was absent from the press conference but participated in squad selection discussions earlier in the week.
