**Mumbai, India** – India has unveiled its squad for the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025, with Rohit Sharma to captain the side and Shubman Gill serving as his deputy. The team includes the return of fast bowler Mohammed Shami and the inclusion of Jasprit Bumrah, though Bumrah’s participation hinges on his fitness. Chief selector Ajit Agarkar stated that Bumrah’s status will be confirmed by the BCCI medical team in early February. A separate squad for a three-match ODI series against England includes Harshit Rana, added as a precaution should Bumrah’s fitness concerns persist.
Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul will be the wicket-keeping duo for both the Champions Trophy and the England series. Mohammed Siraj has been omitted from the Champions Trophy squad, with Arshdeep Singh securing a place as the left-arm pacer.
