Fri Jan 17 23:30:00 UTC 2025: ## Bucks Rout Magic, Claim Fourth Place in Eastern Conference

**MILWAUKEE, WI –** The Milwaukee Bucks dominated the Orlando Magic Wednesday night, securing a resounding 122-93 victory and overtaking their opponents for fourth place in the Eastern Conference. Damian Lillard led the Bucks with 30 points, while Giannis Antetokounmpo contributed 26 points and 11 rebounds.

The Bucks’ success stemmed from a blistering start, mirroring their performance the previous night against Sacramento. They outscored Orlando 34-16 in the first quarter, building a lead they never relinquished. A 19-point run in the opening period, fueled by Lillard’s nine points including a long-range three-pointer, effectively sealed the Magic’s fate.

Orlando’s shooting woes were a significant factor in their defeat. They shot a dismal 34.7%, the lowest field goal percentage the Bucks have allowed all season. Paolo Banchero led the Magic with 22 points, but it was insufficient to counter Milwaukee’s offensive efficiency. The Bucks, meanwhile, shot a season-high 62.5%, consistently finding open shots inside. Interestingly, despite their high efficiency, the Bucks also registered the fewest three-point attempts of any NBA team this season, according to Sportradar.

The win marks the Bucks’ third victory over the Magic this season, with a final matchup scheduled for March 8th. Milwaukee guard Andre Jackson Jr. left the game with a hip bruise and did not return.

Both teams return to action on Friday; the Magic face the Boston Celtics, while the Bucks host the Toronto Raptors.
