**NEW DELHI** – Rumors of an engagement between Indian cricketer Rinku Singh and Samajwadi Party MP Priya Saroj have been circulating rapidly on social media. However, these reports have been categorically denied by Saroj’s father, MLA Tufani Saroj.

In a telephone conversation with ABP News, Saroj clarified that while discussions regarding a potential relationship between Singh and his daughter had taken place – initiated by Singh’s family with Saroj’s son-in-law, a CJM in Aligarh – no engagement has occurred. He stated that the engagement reports are entirely false.

Priya Saroj, a 26-year-old lawyer who graduated from Delhi University, is the daughter of three-time Member of Parliament Tufani Saroj. Rinku Singh, currently playing domestic cricket for Uttar Pradesh, is set to be part of the Indian team for the upcoming white-ball series against England, starting January 22nd. He has a strong record in T20 Internationals, with 507 runs in 22 innings at a remarkable strike rate.

While the rumors surrounding a potential union between the cricketer and the politician have been quashed, the denial adds another layer to the ongoing speculation surrounding the young cricketer’s personal life.
