Wed Jan 15 17:16:36 UTC 2025: ## Iran Confirms Israeli Sabotage of Nuclear Program
**Dubai, January 15, 2025** – Iran has publicly acknowledged for the first time that Israel supplied explosive-laden centrifuge platforms used in its nuclear enrichment program. The revelation, made by former Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, now Vice-President for strategic affairs, sheds light on the sophistication of Israeli sabotage operations targeting Iran’s nuclear facilities.
Zarif’s comments, part of an interview with a media outlet affiliated with a publicly funded Iranian organization, aim to explain to the Iranian public the challenges the government faces under stringent Western sanctions. He specifically referenced previous attacks on the Natanz nuclear enrichment facility in 2020 and 2021, attacks previously hinted at by former Mossad chief Yossi Cohen. Zarif stated that the Israelis infiltrated supply chains, planting explosives within centrifuge platforms.
This confirmation comes amidst heightened tensions in the Middle East. The recent Israel-Hamas war, which resulted in thousands of casualties on both sides, has further exacerbated concerns over Iran’s nuclear ambitions. With President-elect Donald Trump poised to return to the White House, fears of a preemptive Israeli strike on Iranian nuclear sites are rising.
Iranian officials, including President Masoud Pezeshkian, insist their nuclear program is peaceful and that they are willing to negotiate with the West. However, since the US withdrawal from the 2015 nuclear deal in 2018, Iran has significantly advanced its uranium enrichment capabilities, raising concerns about its potential to develop nuclear weapons. Israel, the US, and other world powers have repeatedly stated they will not allow Iran to acquire nuclear weapons, increasing the likelihood of further conflict.
