Wed Jan 15 18:47:31 UTC 2025: ## “Game Changer” Shows Signs of Life After Slow Start; Box Office Still Faces Challenges
**Mumbai, India** – The Tollywood film “Game Changer,” starring Ram Charan and Kiara Advani, experienced a rocky start at the box office but showed signs of recovery on its sixth day. After three days of declining numbers, the film saw a 30.72 percent surge in domestic collections on Saturday, amassing ₹10 crore net at the Indian box office. The Telugu version contributed significantly to this total, garnering ₹6.5 crore, while the Tamil version added ₹90 lakh. Hindi and Kannada versions contributed smaller amounts.
While the film’s overall domestic total stands at ₹110.03 crore (as of Wednesday evening), concerns remain. Film trade analyst Sumit Kadel notes that the Hindi version’s weekend collection of ₹26.59 crore suggests a potential breakeven this week, but the film’s ₹450 crore budget presents a significant hurdle.
Producers attribute some of the underperformance to online piracy, claiming that the pre-release hype wasn’t effectively monetized due to pirated versions circulating online. The film’s global gross currently stands at ₹154.50 crore.
“Game Changer,” a 2-hour 44-minute political action thriller, also features S J Suryah, Nassar, Brahmanandam, Vennela Kishore, and Murali Sharma. The film’s future box office performance remains to be seen.
