**Rajkot, India:** India’s women’s cricket team shattered records in the final ODI against Ireland, posting a world-record 435/5 – the highest total ever in a One Day International (ODI) match, surpassing both men’s and women’s previous records. This surpasses their own previous record of 370/3, also achieved against Ireland just days earlier.

The record-breaking innings was spearheaded by Smriti Mandhana’s blistering 135 off 80 balls, the fastest century by an Indian woman and featuring seven sixes. Mandhana’s innings also saw her achieve her 10th ODI century, placing her third on the all-time list. Opening partner Pratika Rawal also shone, scoring a magnificent 154 off 129 balls – her maiden ODI century. The pair’s 233-run opening stand is the third highest in Indian women’s ODI history. Richa Ghosh added a quickfire 59.

This is only the third time in history a team has crossed the 400-run mark in Women’s ODIs, joining New Zealand and Australia in this exclusive club.
