Wed Jan 15 16:43:07 UTC 2025: ## Ram Charan’s ‘Game Changer’ Crosses ₹100 Crore Mark Despite Box Office Dip

**MUMBAI** – Ram Charan and Kiara Advani’s “Game Changer” has crossed the ₹100 crore mark in India, reaching approximately ₹106.15 crore in its first five days. However, the film, directed by Shankar, experienced a significant drop in box office collections after a strong opening day of ₹51 crore.

While the film’s opening weekend saw impressive numbers (₹21.6 crore on day 2, ₹15.9 crore on day 3), Monday’s collections slumped to ₹7.65 crore. Tuesday showed a slight recovery, bringing in approximately ₹10 crore.

Regional performance varied, with Telugu shows logging a 36.15% occupancy, Tamil shows at 26.24%, and Hindi shows considerably lower at 11.19%, according to Sacnilk. Film critic Taran Adarsh noted the Monday slowdown, but expressed optimism that the Makar Sankranti/Pongal festivities would boost collections. The Hindi version alone grossed ₹29.01 crore in its first week.

Director Shankar acknowledged some shortcomings, stating in an interview that he wasn’t completely satisfied with the final product due to time constraints that led to the removal of several scenes. The film’s initial runtime exceeded five hours.

“Game Changer,” a political action thriller centered around an IAS officer fighting corruption, received mixed reviews. While Ram Charan’s performance garnered praise, some critics criticized the film’s logic in certain action sequences. The film released on January 10th in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada.
