NEW DELHI — With the Delhi Assembly elections just weeks away, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) announced significant changes to its candidate lineup on Wednesday. The party replaced its candidates in the Hari Nagar and Narela constituencies.
Incumbent Hari Nagar MLA Rajkumari Dhillon, who had been renominated, has been replaced by Surinder Setia. In Narela, Dinesh Bharadwaj has been replaced by Sharad Chauhan, a two-time MLA who had been dropped from the initial candidate list released in December.
Party sources attributed the changes to feedback received from ground reports in both constituencies. Chauhan, expressing gratitude on X (formerly Twitter), thanked the AAP leadership for their renewed confidence.
The revised list was shared via the party’s X account. The Delhi Assembly elections are scheduled for February 5th, with results expected on February 8th.
