Tue Jan 14 16:37:37 UTC 2025: ## Neil Gaiman Faces Fresh Sexual Misconduct Allegations Amidst Ongoing Projects
**London, UK** – Bestselling author Neil Gaiman is facing renewed accusations of sexual misconduct, with eight women coming forward with allegations, as reported by New York Magazine. Four of these women previously shared their accounts in Tortoise Media’s podcast, “Master,” last year. The new report details claims ranging from unwanted sexual advances to assault, with one woman alleging assault while babysitting Gaiman’s child.
While Gaiman’s representatives maintain that all encounters were consensual, the women allege that consent, particularly regarding BDSM activities, was not explicitly discussed or agreed upon beforehand. A police report filed in January 2023 alleging sexual assault was later dropped.
The allegations have already impacted several of Gaiman’s ongoing projects. Prime Video’s “Good Omens” season three will now conclude with a single 90-minute episode, with Gaiman no longer involved. Disney has paused production on its adaptation of “The Graveyard Book,” and Netflix has cancelled “Dead Boy Detectives,” although the reasons for the latter cancellation remain unclear. However, Netflix’s “The Sandman” season two and Prime Video’s “Anansi Boys” are still expected to be released.
Despite the controversy, a musical adaptation of Gaiman’s “Coraline” is set to premiere at Leeds Playhouse in April. The Playhouse and Gaiman’s publishers, Headline, have yet to respond to the latest allegations. The BBC has contacted Gaiman’s representatives, as well as Netflix, Prime Video, and Disney for comment.
