Tue Jan 14 01:47:11 UTC 2025: ## Yuvraj Singh’s Father Claims Arjun Tendulkar’s Coaching Ended Due to Fear of Association

**MUMBAI, INDIA –** Yograj Singh, the outspoken father of former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh, has once again sparked controversy, this time claiming that Sachin Tendulkar’s son, Arjun, ended his brief coaching stint due to fears of association. In a recent podcast interview with YouTuber Samdish Bhatia, Singh stated that Arjun’s impressive debut – a century in his first-class match for Goa and subsequent IPL contract with Mumbai Indians – came after just 12 days of training under him in 2022.

Singh alleges that the relationship ended because those around Arjun feared the negative impact of being linked to him. “When he scored a hundred on debut and then returned to the IPL, people were afraid, what if his name gets stuck with me?” Singh said. He reportedly even suggested to his son Yuvraj that he ask Sachin Tendulkar to let Arjun train with him for a longer period.

Arjun Tendulkar, a 23-year-old all-rounder, has since played 17 first-class matches, scoring 532 runs and taking 37 wickets. His List A record includes 18 games, 102 runs, and 25 wickets. He has also featured in five IPL matches for Mumbai Indians, taking three wickets. Despite his limited success in the IPL so far, Mumbai Indians retained him at his base price of Rs 30 lakhs for the upcoming season.

Yograj Singh, 66, played for India in one Test and six ODIs, his last appearance being in 1981. He is known for his outspoken nature and frequently makes headlines for his controversial comments.
