**Jammu, January 14, 2025** – Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today lauded the armed forces for their service to the nation, pledging his government’s full support in addressing the veterans’ concerns. Speaking at the ninth Armed Forces Veterans’ Day celebration in Akhnoor, near Jammu, Mr. Abdullah acknowledged the sacrifices made by the veterans and emphasized the government’s responsibility to reciprocate their dedication. He specifically promised assistance with reservations and financial support where needed, assuring the veterans that any shortcomings would be rectified. The event, organized by the Army at the Tanda Artillery Brigade, was also attended by the Defence Minister and Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan.
