Tue Jan 14 14:09:19 UTC 2025: ## Ram Charan’s “Game Changer” Suffers Box Office Slump Amidst Piracy Concerns

**Hyderabad, India** – Ram Charan’s highly anticipated political thriller, “Game Changer,” has experienced a significant drop in box office revenue after its January 10th release. The film, which boasted a claimed global opening day gross of ₹186 crore by its makers, has fallen far short of expectations, according to box office tracking website Sacnilk.

Day 4 figures from Sacnilk reveal a steep 52.14% decline in Indian box office earnings, reaching only ₹7.61 crore. Globally, the film’s total earnings stand at ₹130.7 crore, a stark contrast to the producers’ initial claims. The Telugu version performed best, earning ₹5.12 crore, followed by Hindi at ₹1.83 crore and Tamil at ₹0.66 crore.

The film’s underperformance is attributed, in part, to widespread piracy. Reports indicate that an HD print of “Game Changer” was leaked online shortly after its release, prompting the producers to file a police complaint. Hyderabad cyber crime police are currently investigating 45 suspects allegedly involved in the leak, exploring potential connections between them and external actors. The investigation is using evidence provided by the filmmakers. The film’s underperformance, coupled with the piracy issues, raises serious concerns about the future success of the S. Shankar-directed film.
