Tue Jan 14 09:58:58 UTC 2025: ## Ram Charan’s ‘Game Changer’ Stumbles at Box Office Despite High Expectations

**HYDERABAD, INDIA** – Director Shankar’s Telugu-language film “Game Changer,” starring Ram Charan and Kiara Advani, has underperformed significantly at the Indian box office, collecting only ₹97 crore nett in its first four days. The film, which opened strong with ₹51 crore on its first day, witnessed a steep decline over the weekend, and only managed ₹8.5 crore on Monday. This underwhelming performance is a surprise given Ram Charan’s recent success in the global blockbuster “RRR” and the film’s release during the festive season.

The film faced stiff competition from other releases and suffered from low occupancy rates, particularly in its Telugu version. Piracy also significantly impacted the film’s performance, with the film’s team reporting threats and the subsequent leak of an HD pirated print online. A complaint has been filed with Cybercrime police.

Mixed reviews also likely contributed to the disappointing box office numbers. While performances were praised, the film’s inconsistent narrative was criticized. While the producers hope for a boost in collections during the upcoming Sankranthi festival, the initial poor performance represents a significant setback.
