**Puducherry, January 14, 2025** – Four men from Villupuram, Tamil Nadu, died in a head-on car collision on a bridge near Madhagadipet, Puducherry, on Monday morning. Police identified the victims as Kathiravan (52), Mugilan (37), Chandiran (38), and Prabagaran (56), a head constable.

According to police reports, the accident occurred when a car traveling towards Villupuram, driven by Kathiravan, was on the wrong side of the road. Police suspect Kathiravan was driving under the influence of alcohol. The other car, carrying Chandiran and Prabagaran, was en route to Puducherry to visit a relative at Jipmer. A case has been registered.
