Shimla, January 15, 2025 — Haryana BJP chief Mohanlal Badoli and a singer, Jai Bhagwan alias Rocky, have been booked on charges of gang rape following a complaint filed by a woman in Kasauli, Himachal Pradesh. The FIR, registered on December 13, 2024, alleges that the two men, who met the complainant at a Kasauli hotel in July 2023, raped her after plying her with alcohol. They allegedly filmed the assault and threatened to kill her if she reported the incident. The woman further claims she was subsequently threatened at Rocky’s Panchkula residence two months ago. The accused are charged under sections 376 D (gang rape) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code. While the police have confirmed the filing of the FIR, Mr. Badoli has yet to respond to requests for comment. The case is currently under investigation.
