Tue Jan 14 12:08:42 UTC 2025: ## BJP Accuses Delhi CM Atishi of Model Code of Conduct Violation

**New Delhi, January 14, 2025** – The BJP has accused Delhi Chief Minister Atishi of violating the model code of conduct (MCC) by using a government vehicle for her election campaign. Atishi filed her nomination for the Kalkaji assembly constituency on Tuesday, ahead of the February 5th Delhi Assembly elections.

BJP MP Ramvir Singh Bidhuri alleged that campaign materials were transported to Atishi’s Govindpuri election office using a Public Works Department (PWD) vehicle. He further claimed that AAP volunteers are utilizing Delhi government vehicles for campaigning.

Following a complaint filed by the returning officer on January 7th, and a subsequent investigation, Delhi Police registered a First Information Report (FIR) against a PWD official for using a government vehicle for election campaigning. The FIR was filed at the Govind Puri police station based on a complaint from a BJP leader.

Bidhuri called for Atishi’s resignation as Chief Minister and withdrawal of her nomination, stating that her actions constitute a serious breach of the MCC and demand she resign on moral grounds. The counting of votes for the Delhi Assembly election is scheduled for February 8th.
