**Dubai, UAE** – Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar’s racing team, Ajith Kumar Racing, achieved a remarkable third-place finish in the 991 category at the 2025 Michelin Dubai 24 Hour endurance race. This victory is even more impressive considering Kumar’s near-fatal crash during a practice session just days prior.

Initially, after a high-speed crash attributed to brake failure, Kumar considered withdrawing from the race. However, he made a stunning comeback, competing in a dual role as both owner and driver for his team. Videos circulating online show Kumar jubilantly waving the Indian flag as he and his teammates – Mathieu Detry, Fabian Duffieux, and Cameron McLeod – received their trophy.

Fellow actor R Madhavan expressed his pride on social media, posting a picture of himself embracing Kumar. Kumar’s wife and children were also in attendance to witness the victory. The team also secured the “Spirit of the Race” award in the GT4 category.

Kumar’s participation in the grueling 24-hour race, which tests drivers’ speed, strategy, and endurance, further solidified his passion for motorsport. He recently launched his racing team in September 2024 and has indicated a focus on racing during the racing season, delaying new film projects until October.
