Mon Jan 13 02:42:39 UTC 2025: ## Six Dead, 22 Injured in Uttarakhand Bus Crash
**Dehradun, Uttarakhand, January 13, 2025** – A bus plunged 100 meters into a gorge in Pauri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand on Sunday, killing six and injuring 22 others. The accident occurred near Dahalchauri, as the bus, carrying 28 passengers, was traveling from Pauri to Dahalchauri. Five passengers died at the scene.
The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and local residents conducted the rescue operation, transporting the injured to Pauri district hospital. Eight individuals with critical injuries were transferred to a higher health center in Srinagar.
Pauri District Magistrate Ashish Chauhan oversaw the rescue efforts and ordered an investigation into the accident’s cause by the Transport Department. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed his condolences and wished a speedy recovery for the injured.
