**Philadelphia, PA** – Philadelphia 76ers forward KJ Martin is showing signs of progress in his recovery from a foot injury, but remains sidelined, head coach Nick Nurse announced Wednesday. Martin, who has missed the last eight games, is no longer wearing a boot, a positive step in his rehabilitation. However, he is not yet cleared to return to the court.
“He’s out of the boot,” Nurse stated, “but still not on the court yet. So, some progress but not a lot.”
Martin, acquired last season in the James Harden trade, has averaged 6.4 points and 3.0 rebounds in 24 games this season, shooting an impressive 38.1% from three-point range. His absence has provided opportunities for younger players like Ricky Council IV and Justin Edwards to gain valuable playing time.
