**KOCHI, January 13, 2025** – Social activist Rahul Easwar has preemptively sought anticipatory bail from the Kerala High Court. He fears arrest following a cyber harassment complaint filed by a woman actor against him. While no charges have been filed against Mr. Easwar, the actor previously lodged a complaint with the Ernakulam Central police. Mr. Easwar’s concern stems from the possibility of being implicated as a co-accused in an existing case against Boby Chemmannur, who was arrested and remanded for allegedly making sexually coloured remarks about the actor on social media.

He maintains that his remarks focused solely on the actor’s choice of attire, expressing concern about its potential impact on young people.
