**GURUGRAM, INDIA –** Two sisters, Chandni (23) and Rashmi (21), died after falling from the fourth floor of a businessman’s house in Sector 40, Gurugram, on Friday. While the homeowner claims the women fell while attempting to flee after a burglary, the sisters’ family suspects foul play.

Chandni had previously worked as a domestic help at the residence but had left about a month prior. Both sisters lived in the building’s servant quarters and hailed from Uttar Pradesh.

According to police, the homeowner and his family were returning from a trip to Rajasthan when they discovered their front door ajar and heard a loud thud. Upon investigating, they found the sisters injured on the ground below the balcony. Despite being rushed to a hospital, both were pronounced dead.

The homeowner claims the sisters attempted to burglarize the house, suggesting Chandni used knowledge of the electronic lock’s access code to gain entry. However, the sisters’ family has not yet filed a formal complaint alleging murder, but their suspicions of foul play remain.

Sector 40 police station SHO Lalit Kumar stated that autopsies have been conducted, and the bodies have been released to the family. Police are currently reviewing CCTV footage from the house as part of their ongoing investigation.
