**NOIDA, INDIA –** A law student plunged to his death from the seventh floor of a Noida apartment complex on Saturday, prompting a police investigation into potential foul play. The deceased, identified as Tapas, a Ghaziabad resident and LLB student at a private Noida university, had been attending a party at a friend’s apartment in Supreme Towers, Sector 99.
Police responded to reports of the fall and, following a preliminary investigation, have registered a case of abetment to suicide against four to five individuals. Several individuals are currently in custody. While police initially suspect suicide, the investigation is ongoing and examining all aspects of the incident.
Tapas’ body has been sent for a post-mortem examination. The Noida Police Commissionerate media cell confirmed that the student’s family has been informed and a thorough investigation is underway. Further legal action will be taken pending a formal complaint from the family.
